Machine Learning, and especially Deep Learning is moving at a breakthrough pace. Every now and then, there is an advancement in the field much quicker than it was originally anticipated. There is also a lot of mobilization of human resources from other fields such as Software Developers, Statisticians, Mathematicians, and other fields into the field of Deep Learning. All this makes Deep Learning a hot field. It is very difficult to keep track of these advancements. In this blog post, I will talk about 11 Twitter accounts you can follow to keep yourself updated with the latest developments in the field of Deep Learning.
Yann LeCun
When it comes to Deep Learning, it is impossible to not talk about Yann Lecun. Along with Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, he is considered one of the godfathers of Deep Learning. The trio received the Turing award in 2018 for their work on Deep Learning. He is currently a professor at New York University, and Chief AI Scientist at Facebook. He is very active on Twitter tweeting about recent developments in the field of Deep Learning. The reason LeCun is the first person on this list is he is a strong proponent of new methods and techniques in the field. His position comes from the fact that his work, along with the work of other researchers in the field of Neural Networks was largely ignored during the first decade of the 2000s.
